Mirko Paiardini, Ph.D.

Dr. Mirko Paiardini received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Pharmacology in 2003 from the University of Urbino, wherein he also completed post-doctoral training under Dr. Mauro Magnani. After serving as a Research Associate under Dr. Guido Silvestri at the University of Pennsylvania, he was recruited to Emory University in 2010.

PhD Candidate
Elise Viox received her B.S. in Biology and B.A. in Human Health from Emory University in 2015. She then completed a postbac at the NIH Vaccine Research Center in the lab of Dr. John Mascola where she evaluated the HIV-1 fusion peptide as a potential immunogen for HIV-1 vaccine design in mouse, guinea pig, and non-human primate (NHP) models.

Laurence Raymond Marchand, MS.c

Laurence completed her MS.c in Microbiology and Immunology at Université de Montréal (Qc, Canada) in 2018 under the supervision of Dr. Hugo Soudeyns (CHU Sainte-Justine Research Center). The focus of her master’s project was to portray the B cell profile and the vaccine response of HIV-exposed uninfected children.
